We are currently seeking a Systems Integration Advisor to join our team in Guadalajara, Jalisco (MX-JAL), Mexico (MX).
We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server DBA on a contract basis to support ongoing SQL Server database operations, including cloud migrations, high availability configurations, and performance tuning. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience migrating on-prem SQL Server databases to Azure, setting up AlwaysOn Availability Groups, and ensuring system reliability and performance in a hybrid cloud environment.
• Support SQL Server migrations from on-premises to Azure (IaaS/PaaS).
• Implement and manage SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups and Distributed Availability Groups.
• Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting of SQL Server instances and queries.
• Support backup and recovery operations, including automated recovery testing.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data integrity across environments.
• Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps clearly and concisely.
• Minimum 7 years of IT experience, with 5+ years as a SQL Server DBA.
• Strong knowledge and experience with SQL Server 2019 and later.
• Proven experience with SQL Server AlwaysOn, Distributed AGs, and WSFC.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL (IaaS/PaaS) deployments and migrations.
• Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
• Experience with backup/recovery tools and disaster recovery planning.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, PowerShell scripting, and SQL Server automation tasks.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Effective time management and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
